Drawing on deep personal access to Nick and his family, and on a remarkable archive of home video footage filmed by his mother, Dushka - footage that captures a young Nick riding a skateboard, kicking a soccer ball, and swimming - the film traces the full arc of a life that refused the limits placed upon it.
