Celebration Cinema exists to create space where stories happen. Theatres provide a mini vacation: a place to be swept up in a story, to laugh, to cry and connect more deeply with friends and neighbors. They elevate stories that help us inhabit the world whole-heartedly, contributing to mental health and community wellbeing.

Celebration Cinema has a direct, personal connection to a school system in Kabala, Sierra Leone. The school has been achieving extraordinary results on West African standardized exams (WASC) by piloting new methodologies for teaching literacy at an early age, investing in a strong library, and recently adding mental health & career counseling for students.
