Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1982 without arms or legs - a rare condition known as tetra-amelia syndrome - Nick Vujicic entered the world as a medical anomaly and left the delivery room as an open question: what kind of life could a boy like this actually have?
No Limbs No Limits answers that question with extraordinary intimacy. Drawing on deep personal access to Nick and his family, and on a remarkable archive of home video footage filmed by his mother, Dushka - footage that captures a young Nick riding a skateboard, kicking a soccer ball, and swimming - the film traces the full arc of a life that refused the limits placed upon it.
But this is not a simple triumph narrative. The film moves with the rhythm Nick himself describes: not a straight climb from valley to mountaintop, but valleys and mountains, valleys and mountains. At its center sits a confrontation with genuine darkness - a suicide attempt at age eight, a mother's raw confession that it took her four months to fully accept her own son, the death of a beloved father, and the isolating weight of global fame. These moments are not footnotes. They are the film's foundation.
At the same time, the story of Nick's family - who fought the Australian education system to integrate their son and became catalysts for national disability policy reform - emerges as the film's quiet, beating heart.
