CELEBRATION! CINEMA AT WOODLAND MALL OFFERS NEW LOW PRICE AND MORE ALTERNATIVE MOVIES

At $3.50 for all seats all shows, movie lovers have
even more choices in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids, MI. "John Loeks remembers growing up in the family business when it had a wide range of theatre types.  From single screen theatres to the large multi-plex facilities, some of the theatres offered discounted prices for all shows as well as limited release and independent films.  Loeks, President of Celebration! Cinema, decided to take a page from that discount and art film history and give it new look; $3.50 for movie tickets for all shows at all times at the Woodland location.  He also plans to add a more "art house" feel with more independent and limited release films. 

"We're thrilled to offer more choices for local movie-goers", Loeks announced today.  "We want to support the art film community as well as offer a sweet deal on the ticket price.  These choices would not have been possible without the acquisition of the RiverTown and Woodland theatres."

Celebration! Cinema will lean on it's local brand recognition for quality and providing a superior shared entertainment experience.

"This is new and fresh for the community", said Brad Miller, General Manager of Celebration! Cinema at Woodland Mall.  "We believe there is a large segment of the market that will enjoy seeing more independent-style movies plus the blockbusters and really getting the full big screen movie experience at less than half the price.  Our staff is very excited to get started.

The new approach at Woodland will begin on Friday, August 10^th with blockbuster movies from earlier this summer like Spider-Man 3, Surf's Up, Shrek The Third, Nancy Drew, Ocean's 13, Evan Almighty, Fantastic 4:The Silver Surfer and more.  Limit release movies include titles such as La Vie En Rose, Once, Sicko, Waitress, A Mighty Heart, and Joshua.  A deep-discounted movie price and limited release films will give movie-going a different look in Grand Rapids.                                           

"The movie schedule will have a new feel to it at Woodland", added Ron Van Timmeren, Vice President of Programming.  "We will be working on bringing in some titles that the community has been asking for.  The strategy is simply this; offer a good movie mix with a deeply discounted price, lots of promotions and a new theatre with first rate amenities.  We know this will be very popular.   

The announcement comes as movie goers at the Celebration! Cinema in the RiverTown Mall are finding a spectacular change in how they view movies as well.  The theatre announced today that it has completed a digital cinema installation of all 20 screens.  This means 76 of the 90 Celebration! Cinema Grand Rapids screens have DLP^® Digital Cinema capability.

Celebration! Cinema at Woodland Mall will begin the $3.50 All Seats/All Shows policy on Friday, August 10.  The theatre is located next to the Woodland Mall at 3195 28^th Street South East.
